Coming from Germany is Original Drachenfelser Musikanten, a folk music brass band reflecting the Rhineland tradition of the Drachenfels Mountains. Masters of polka, the band features a tenor horn, trumpet, tuba and accordion. Their leader, tuba player Erhard Schwarz, was at the VBF for the first time in 2006 and is a noted specialist on such exotic instruments as the ophicleide and helicon. Drachenfelser have been regular participants in the Vintage Band Festival in recent years and have a dedicated fan club among the locals of German and Czech traditions. Original Drachenfelser Musikanten has previously played at Vintage Band Festival in 2010, 2013 and 2016.

The Blue Canaries are a Northfield band with great songs, great musicians, and just the right amount of chaos.

Chris leads on guitar (or so we're told). Dusty keeps the groove going on bass. Taylor brings the keys and somehow translates music into something the rest of the band can understand. Jordyn and Sam deliver powerhouse vocals, and Will makes the drums go bong.

They're local. They're talented. They're a lot of fun.

This duo is dedicated to providing a heartfelt and meaningful musical experience, featuring a diverse style that taps into everything from folk and bluegrass to classical, jazz and Motown. Their music blends the emotional depth of classical cello with the earthy authenticity of folk and Americana, creating a sound that is distinctly their own.

Lauded as the greatest band of the millennium, Stonewalker is two things: a life changing experience and one helluva rock-and-roll group. They bring you the harmony of saturnine space blues and roaring dio-rock. Some of their influences include the Replacements, the Rolling Stones, and tunes that will otherwise make you stamp your foot, shake your tail, and get that girl you've always wanted.

A little revival of our former "Acoustic Roots Sessions!" Local bluegrass and folk artists Helen Forsythe and Alissa Jacobsen take the stage to share their divine voices filled with original lyrics (and a few folk songs you know by heart). Plus there will be some amazing banjo-plucking and some fine fiddling! Join us for a chill evening of beautiful tunes by this talented duo.

Zacc is a Minneapolis-based guitarist, composer, and bandleader known for his dynamic performances and acclaimed work with groups like the Atlantis Quartet and the Zacc Harris Group. Drawing from a fabulous repertoire - songs you know played with a creative spin, or new songs that are sure to delight - these four music mamas join forces to celebrate the joy and insanity of being a gentle, creative soul in a fast-paced, complex world.

Art Vandalay is a Twin Cities-based band that blends the vintage sounds of The Band and the modern vibe of The Black Keys, creating a laid-back “Americana sound with a sprinkling of folk, pop, and jazz” (Mostly Minnesota).

Their latest album, One Night at the Aster, is their 4th record and 1st live album that captures the spirited live energy that has made the Art Vandalay a fixture of the Twin Cities’ Americana scene. The album captures the magic the band can conjure from the stage with a performance that finds the band simply on fire, delivering a scorching set of their “impossibly catchy” (Duluth News Tribune) Americana. Some songs are played as rehearsed and some take onstage detours all the while the band digging into the grooves and putting on a show that stands as one of their finest.

Since 2007, Art Vandalay has carved their place in the Twin Cities’ Americana scene, with their “fresh, fluid roots-rock sound” (Adventures in Americana). One Night at the Aster is a testament to Art Vandalay’s timeless songwriting and relentless performing for more than a decade.

Aphelion is a quartet comprised of 4 St. Olaf students: Emma Clift on sax, Joe Durben on keys, Holden Peckenpaugh on bass, and Will Christensen on drums. Prepare for lively takes on classics from the Great American Songbook, intricate improvisations, and jovial grins all around.

Sabios Cantores is a group of three dementia-friendly, culturally specific choruses for Spanish-speaking people in the Twin Cities. We are so proud to welcome them back to Imminent for a performance that is sure to delight folks from all walks of life!

An accomplished performer on more than a handful of instruments, Mark also is a prolific songwriter, recently writing for a musical adaptation of Mark Twain’s Life On The Mississippi. He has played in Rock, Country, Bluegrass, Folk, Traditional Jazz and Gypsy Jazz bands, as well as being involved in theatrical and classical music. Although he has played across the country and overseas, his favorite audience is always the one he’s playing for now!

Big Blue Moon is a modern jazz trio from south Minneapolis that is in constant motion of creation and improvisation, without worrying too much about what jazz should be. This trio draws from several decades of jazz history to create sounds that are both traditional and modern, and the group features a flexible lineup built around St. Olaf Graduate Nick Bhalla's piano. Tonight this talented trio will also feature Calvin Caron on bass and Ben Ehrlich on drums.

Blending classic rock, Americana, blues and folk with a touch of jazz, Ray Coudret and Curt Johnson deliver timeless music with a fresh perspective.
