Third Wednesdays are "Acoustic Roots Sessions" at Immy! Tonight, local singer/songwriter Sam Ryden graces our stage with his poetic lyrics, buttery voice and talent on six strings. Ranging from rhythmic, understated Prine-esque folk ballads to soaring, funked-out soul, Ryden finds so many ways to express his musical message. Lyrically, he tackles topics like love & longing, redemption & resilience, amongst other things - and produces surprisingly sophisticated and layered original work for an artist his age.
ArtMakers, KYMN Radio, Northfield Arts Guild and Imminent Brewing Present The Midsommer Music Festival! A Northfield take on a Norwegian celebration, featuring a variety of local musicians including Rafi Dworfsky, Too Old Cat, Greenvale Manitou, and Clidesfeld. ArtMakers will also present their Midsommer mini-musical, "Askeladden." The evening will end with a Community Drum Circle and Nordic Jam around the bonfire! All ages and all abilities are welcome.
