Potter's Pasties

One of the big myths about England is the one that says the food is terrible.

Yes, it’s true that you can’t really find a cold glass of water in the UK, and it helps to really love peas, but to just dismiss the culinary offerings of an entire country (or four united ones, even) is folly. And wrong. And kind of ignorant.

And it is clearly the work of someone who has never eaten a pastie.

First of all, they’re pronounced pă-stees, and secondly, they’re awesome. Potter’s Pasties, the finest maker of pasties in the Upper Midwest, will be at Imminent Brewing to show you just how good these things are.

These are traditional puff pastry wrapped pies with ingredients like minced beef, onions, potatoes and gravy, or braised pork, apples, onions and coriander. Potter’s has created some of their own unique offerings, as well with Thai ingredients, or veggie offerings.

Potter’s Pasties has long been considered among the best of the Twin Cities food trucks. We can’t wait to have them parked at Imminent Brewing!

The 'granddaddy of all gravel races' is starting and ending in Northfield in 2019 and No Time for Fame will be there to help kick it off! if you are interested in riding visit www.almanzo.com for details.

WHO ARE WE?
No Time For Fame is an indie rock band from Minnesota on a mission to create and entertain. They bring original DIY rock and roll from the upper Midwest, with crunchy guitars, hooks for miles, and an energetic stage presence to keep a crowd engaged and guessing about what will come next.

Vocalist Chris Ash, guitarist Mark Hovey, and drummer Dan Mills had been playing together for 10 years when Mike Meehan and Jason Pimlott, also music veterans, joined in early spring 2016 to form No Time For Fame. Since then, they have been writing new music and playing out regularly to local crowds in the Twin Cities and around their hometowns.

First and foremost, No Time For Fame is built around a love for music. These guys love music! They have listened to, played, loved, hated, debated, dissected, created, and been fans of music in a really big way for a long time. They make music they love, they love to play the music they make, and they want to share it.

Having multiple song writers in the band allows their setlist to span multiple styles and genres. Variety is their specialty. Power pop, alternative, college radio, classic rock, funk, reggae, blues, and post punk can be found throughout their songs. They bend musical styles to match the story of every song in order to shape the mood and atmosphere.

Their shows are energetic, fun, unpredictable and engaging. It's clear they enjoy the music they play, and each others company when they are on stage. Their goal is to bring great original songs to audiences who love music as much as they do. Be sure to catch a live show and share in the fun!

Fred the Bear w/ guests Bo Aylin & Trey Coudret

Fred the Bear is an alt-rock band known for their rich harmonies, emotive dynamics and original songs. FTB’s music reflects on life's promises and disappointments through personal crafted lyrics and driving rhythms.  Mixed within their originals is a blend of music from other Midwest artists, currently touring groups and classic bands.

** Ray’s son Trey will join them tonight, as well as their good friend Bo Aylin!

Their name and their drive for a great live sound is a tribute to Bruce "Fred the Bear" Eschler.  At his bar, the "Bear's Den", you’d always get a stiff drink and when the music was crankin', you were in for a heck of a night.  So we play tribute to the man who provided us with our first glimpse into the energy of live music .... Fred the Bear.

Band Members include: Ray Coudret, Beth Kanzelman, Bob Kanzelman, and Jerry Spencer.

Nikki Walsh Trio
Apr
14
5:00 PM17:00

Nikki Walsh Trio

Nikki Walsh combines the vocal precision of jazz singing with the warmth and intimacy of folk in timeless standards by the likes of Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim, and Rogers and Hammerstein. Guitarist and producer-arranger Ben Siems adds just enough surprising and idiosyncratic touches to these well-known songs to pique the listener's interest, while preserving all the essential elements of classic versions. Walsh's deeply personal voice gracefully floats over Siems's subtle guitar work, creating a listening experience that is at once peaceful and energetic, at once nostalgic and new. Joining Nikki and Ben with a grounding, deep bass is Imminent regular, Kevin Clements.
